About Us
The Game Plan
Fatima Jackson stood in her dining room, preparing to eat lunch as the family was watching a football game on the television. It was an ordinary Sunday afternoon, but it felt different. The sun streamed in through the windows, casting a warm glow on the sofa cushions where her family sat together. She glanced at her son, Brad, who was standing with his Sunday suit sharp and impeccable. He always took such pride in his appearance, and that day was no exception. "You look great, Brad," she said, unable to hold back a proud smile. Fatima’s eyes lingered on her son for a moment longer before turning her attention to the game on the screen. The commentary was flowing smoothly, describing the strategies and movements of the players, their focus on the game palpable even from the dining room. And then, she heard it—a familiar phrase that caught her attention: "Line of Scrimmage". It was like a light bulb turned on above her head. "That's it!" Fatima exclaimed,. "Fashion Line of Scrimmage! FLoS!" Her family looked at her, puzzled but intrigued. Fatima began to explain her idea, her words flowing faster than her thoughts could catch up. She talked about how life and fashion were much like football—positions may vary, but everyone could move forward, depending on their skill, determination, and the support of those around them. As she spoke, her family gave supportive thoughts. "So, you're saying our family can turn this idea into a fashion brand?" Fatima nodded enthusiastically, her heart pounding with excitement. The more she spoke, the more her vision for FLoS began to take shape. Fashion, she realized, was much more than just clothing—it was a metaphor for life's challenges. Just like in football, people may start in different positions, but with the right guidance and teamwork, they could all reach their own goal line. The next few weeks were a blur of ideas, designs, and sleepless nights. The Jacksons worked together, each contributing their own talents and ideas. Fatima’s business education guided their operations. FLoS was born not just as a fashion brand but as a symbol of perseverance and growth. It was a reminder that no matter where you start in life, you can always move forward. The family’s inspiration became to concept behind the FLoS® Inspired Thinkers Fashion Line. As Fatima looked at their first official launch, a collection of sleek, bold designs representing different football positions, she felt a deep sense of fulfillment. Her brand wasn’t just about looking good; it was about showing the world that, just like a football game, life required a team effort, hard work, and the right mindset to move the ball down the field. But even more than that, FLoS was her legacy—proof that with faith, family, and determination, you could redefine your own position in the game of life.

Meet the Founder

The Line That Connects Us All
Fatima Jackson, known to everyone as “Fatina,” was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. From an early age, she had always known that she wanted to work with people—whether through business or education. It wasn’t just about a career; it was about leaving an impact, about helping others reach their potential. As a young girl, Fatina dreamed of becoming a business owner, but as she matured, she realized that the dream of owning a business could coexist with another passion she discovered: working with students with disabilities. Her journey to becoming the founder of Fashion Line of Scrimmage (FLoS) was shaped by both paths. Fatina started by pursuing a degree in Business Education at Troy University Montgomery, all while working as support personnel at a local school. There, she became involved with students who had disabilities, and her heart was captured. She saw the unique challenges they faced but also the incredible resilience each one demonstrated. This sparked a new passion: to become an advocate and resource for students who, despite their challenges, could thrive in both higher education and the workforce. With this new goal in mind, Fatina embarked on an educational journey that led her to multiple degrees—each one adding to her understanding of leadership, education, and business. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Troy University Montgomery, an M.S. in Special Education from Alabama State University, a M.S. in School Leadership from the University of West Alabama, and an ED.S. in Educational Specialist in Special Education from Auburn University Montgomery. Her dreams, once focused on business ownership alone, were now intertwined with her mission to serve students with disabilities. Fatina’s vision for her future was clear: she wanted to build a business that would not only succeed but also give back to the community in meaningful ways, just as she hoped to support her students in overcoming their own challenges. Fatina saw her business as an extension of her teaching philosophy. Just as she had worked with students to help them overcome their challenges and enter college or the workforce, FLoS became a symbol for others to strive toward their own goals. Her designs weren’t just fashionable; they were built to empower. The FLoS brand embodied the idea that positions in life don’t have to be permanent. With determination, hard work, and the right team, anyone could move forward. “I want them to know that their disabilities don’t define them,” Fatina said in one of her interviews. “They have every ability to succeed, to go to college, and to enter the workforce, just like anyone else. It’s all about building relationships, skills, and the confidence to keep moving forward.” In every piece of FLoS clothing, in every design, Fatina could see the metaphor: life’s challenges are only obstacles if you let them be. With faith, family, and the will to push forward, we all can move beyond the line of scrimmage toward victory.
